there were three HP ratings on the OM616...

1) Not much power
2) Even less power
3) Not nearly enough power!! 240D w/auto

Anyone that thinks a 240D is slow drives too fast.

Too bad it has US headlights..
10,000 years from now, some idiot will dig this up and think, gee what a beautiful car but why did the designers spoil it with those ugly headlights?
Maybe they'll even copy the design in the future, and every car from then on will have the US headlights. Euros gone, forever. Horror.
