This has to be the greatest thing that has ever happened to me regarding my relationship with my 82 300SD. This is the best automotive forum I have found on the net bar none. But my question today concerns the GMC 6.2/6.5 diesels. I also own a GMC "Blazer" with a 6.2 engine. On the assumption that at least some of you diesel buffs are also associated with these (infamous?

I really havent found any good websites for the chevy diesels. I am in the middle of rebuilding a 6.2 for my step father and there really isnt much support for these engines.

The folks at www.thedieselplace.com treat me well. They come down harder than folks here if you ask about something that's in the archives. There's also a bit of a mindset wall. Those guys are all about throwing another ton or two on a trailer. People like me who ask how to soften the suspension get laughed off the forum

Check out www.thedieselpage.com I have been a member there since '97 and I own a 6.5TD since '00. The Diesel Page is easily as good if not better than this forum for a few reasons. One of the reasons is they have monthly content, reviews, articles, etc. that will interest you. They also publish complete bound hardcopies of all previous tech articles that you can purchase. Or CD's, your choice. There is a commercial advertising area that includes mainly GM diesel related vendors that are reputable. There are several commercial engine builders as well as some very knowledgeable members that can/have built GM's to relatively high power levels. The downside? Well, its a pay site. You have to be a member to enjoy the full content. Its very cheap, $20/year. Worth every penny troubleshooting the first problem you have. And you will have one.... I'm wouldn't consider owning a GM diesel and NOT being a member. RT
