non lighting glow indicator
Is a non lighting glow plug dash lamp indicate a failure in one or more glow plugs? Car has recently harder to start on the first cycle of the dash lamp, and now dash lamp is out.

Yes, the light will normally fail to light if the #1 GP fails or if two or more of the other GPs fail. If it was hard starting before, you probably have two bad GPs now.

Thanks. I've got the new gp's sitting in a drawer, so I'll pop them in and be on my way.

I swapped out the older bosch glow plugs tonite for the new bosch plugs. All old plugs were oily. Is that normal? BTW, car fired right up after the install.
Thanks. |

The plugs probably had unburned fuel on them, hopefully not motor oil. I wouldn't worry about it, especially if the plugs were dead. Does the indicator light work now?

Same thing my glow plug dash light stopped working, car seems to start fine though.
