which bulb?

1982 300sd w126. i used the search, but i could not find a definitive answer to my query.

what size/type # bulb is used to illuminate the buttons on the climate control and then the fiber optic spyder thingy for the defrost switch and sunroof switch? i have found plenty of info on the dash, but not on this area. at the autoparts store it looks like 2721 OR 74 will fit. how are they different? does it matter which one i use?

what led should i go with if i want them brighter?

thanks!
-philip

I do not believe you can find the right wattage bulbs in an autoparts store for that application, they are available online however, for very cheap. The correct wattage is 1.2w for the little ones in the climate/fiber spider etc....you will have to go online or to the dealer for them. Any higher than 1.2 and it will melt things. Not good.
