mistery piece(s) revisited

Hi All,

This is related to my 1985 300SD.
I have two mystery pieces that remain after I put the engine together. One of them was featured here once already (none of the guesses seemed to be right and I have taken pictures with a penny as a reference) - http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=212945&highlight=mistery+piece .
The other one is smaller and is on a bolt. As I do not want to downgrade the pictures to fit here, I have uploaded them to my server.

1. http://zaruserv.uta.edu/300SD/mistery-1.jpg Here is the link to the old mystery piece

2. http://zaruserv.uta.edu/300SD/mistery-2.jpg And here is the link to the "new one"

If you recognize them would you mind taking a picture on your car so I can see their exact location and orientation?
Thanks,

Greg

Mistery piece #1 found

It is the piece that holds the exhaust to the engine block.

Looks to me like we have a winner on the first part!
Greg, looks like you're trying to get your engine as clean as Shell's.....

Dang, I knew that was the exhaust hanger mount... You beat me to it! ...

But #2 the bracket holds the glow plug wiring loom and bolt goes into the power steering bracket.

Well, I tried to mount the exhaust and it would not attach to anything, then I remembered my mystery piece and it fit there perfectly
