Youll need a good engine hoist with load leveler ,that really improves things when taking the motor out and sending the new in.

Im seriously thinking about taking this up. I would fly down there, i couldnt put that much tear on my 240d. (especially with diesel being 5$ a gallon) It would probibally only take me two or three days all together to do the swap with the proper tools.

WOW, you are brave... cervan, that is a really nice offer. (by the way... your avitar is sure topical right now... I sure will miss him)
I am a HECK of a lot closer, but I don't have the time. I hope you find somebody close enough to swap it over for you.
if you have the tools, you can do it yourself it's not that hard.

true, but I don't have all the tools and I work.
My wife has been in poor health and I just haven't had the time or energy to do it myself and now my lease is up in august on the car I drive to work everyday.

I also need it done correctly be someone who is familiar with the car and has done it before or something very similar. If I did it, I would forget something and a weekend job would turn into months of troubleshooting.
