BB's in vacuum tube?
would there be ANY logical reason to block the vacuum tubes that connect to the transmission? i noticed my transmission is shifting a little rough since i got it out of the shop. there are two vacuum connections to what i think is the transmission. inside the rubber connector of each was a copper BB!! is it supposed to be like this?

I regularly keep a pile of BBs in a top drawer of my box. I can take basket mess of rigged vacuum lines and a single BB and get you on the road in about 5 minutes.
The vacuum system for all vac shift diesels to 84 is a very simple system hidden in a warren of vacuum lines. It is one line going from the booster vacuum supply line, to the vacuum modulator. It has an extention (teed off) that goes to a proportioned leak. Anything but that can be blocked to get the trans signal going. Not too many interested in replacing that EGR valve with a bad diaphram.
