The drivers side seat is ok but showing the typical wear of an old leather seat...the passenger seat has cracks in it though and I want to replace it. Dave says I can use seat all the way up to 1990 124 styles...refresh my memory, do I have a 126 or a 124? If I have a 126 could I still use 124 seats (and vice versa)?

One other thought...wouldnt it be AWESOME if some aftermarket parts company made a sunroof/moonroof combo for your old merc!? I mean...a clear pane of glass in lieu of the metal panel for your moonroof!? WOW!, I would SOOOO buy that! You could still have some light in winter and also utilize the lift feature.

...does anyone make that!?

You have a 126. I don't know if 124 seats are bolt on. They sure feel smaller.

I am right there with you on having a moonroof made of glass, I was hopeful when I started removing my 84 TD sunroof that someone had already done it, but no reports yet

Any 100% sure answer on w124 seats in a w126? I'm getting ideas now...
