Window switch wires

Hello all,

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1981 300TD? My manual on CD doesn't have the power window circuits (it says "next section" and there isn't a next section to be found). The left rear window switch was intermittant so I got into the console and both, yes both, caps for the plugs were off and the wires came out of the plugs. I don't know where the wires go back I thought I had figured it out and promptly blew two fuses when trying the windows.

Front wires: black, red, green
Rear wires: black/pink, red/white, green/black

I searched all over the forums and didn't find anything that helped.

Thanks,
Brad

In the CD-ROM manual, did you try clicking on the "next section" label? In my CD, that makes it go to a second index page where you are given a clickable page number for the power windows.

ok - I got the manual to load correctly (I don't think foxit reader opens - I downloaded new version of acrobat and it opened). Now to makes heads and tails of that crazy wiring!

Front wires: black, red, green
Rear wires: black/pink, red/white, green/black

In one of the connectors is a paper that reads:

4 2 5
3 1

Does this make sense to anyone?

I figured it out!!! The numbers that correspond with the wiring diagram are on the bottom of the switch assembly! They are very hard to see - I have 20/20 vision and had to use an LED flashlight to make them out. I have no idea what the numbers on the piece of paper in the connector mean. All is working, and I am happy. Thanks to all who gave their time to help out.
