W123 Glovebox Repair ?
My glovebox has the classic non-functioning latch mechanism and related sag, but I've found a donor glovebox that functions properly.
I am about to dismantle the donor door but am wondering whether there's a proper tool to unscrew that odd circular nut with a line running through the center of it. Is there a special Mercedes tool? I could use the old needle-nose pliers, but it would be nice to do this without mangling the hardware. Thanks for any advice out there. Doug 1983 300D |

they make what they call a slotted flat head scew driver. It is basically a flat head with the middle section cut out of it.

Take a screwdriver that you're willing to sacrifice and cut a slot in the middle with a file, Dremel tool, or whatever.
