Ruptured axle boot, W123 wagon

It looks like I'll get to do an axle R&R.

LOL

Don't all the w123's end up needing axles anyway? Once Dan's done he can relax and not worry about when they're going to go. Luckily I bought my wagon with the axles already done. The CD we're getting had them done already too.

Cheap enough...

Made in China. I wonder about the quality.

Is this a 123 thing? I never read about 124 and 126 cars needing axles.

This is the same Axle sold by Parts America a.k.a., Shucks, Kragens Auto Parts, Advance Autoparts, Checkers and maybe others.

Out here in CA if you order on the internet for in store pickup they will subtract $5 from orders over $37. Order them separately or from 2 different stores and save $10. No shipping charge what-so-ever.
You also get a warranty and someone on the other side of the counter to complain to.
When I looked it up there was a GSP company based in Singapore and also one in India. The Singapore company had the same logo that is on the box.

Members who have bought them say there is no "Made In" anywhere on the box or part.

I have the Cardone axles on my car. They are rebuilt. Advance should sell the New GSP axles also. As I said in anothe post on this thread Kragens and Advence Autp Parts are part of Parts America. Out here in CA if you order in the internet for in store pickup the subtract $5 per each order. If you need 2 axles order them separately or from 2 different stores and save $10.
This is what I did with my Cardone Axles that I got from Kragens last year.
When I looked in Kragens for another member about axles for his 240D/123 I found that the GSP axles did not show up even though they had the part in the 300D section and I believe both being 123s they should fit. It could be the same with a Wagon; maybe the GSP will not show up on that model.

The GSP axles in the photo from one of the other members in his thread was a Homokenetic Axle. The Cardone rebuilts on my car were also Homokenetic (has what looks like cans on each end of the axle; no nut or bolt heads showing).
