How hard is it to convert an 87 190E to a diesel engine/tranny?

There is a very clean 87 190E for sale for $600 with a bad engine. The thought has crossed my mind to buy it and install a 5 cylinder early 80's model diesel/tranny. I know there would be many wiring/vacumn issues. How hard would it be? How much would I expect to pay for a used deisel engine/tranny? Thanks.
