1984 300CD/1983 300 D Parts swap...

Hello all,

I’m considering replacing my totaled ‘84 300CD with a ‘83 300D with 155K miles with some rust in the rear fender area. The car currently isn’t used much the owner has no need for it.

I wanted to confirm something , can I take the brake components (lines, rotors) and some other parts (for example UPC arms, front shocks, monovalve ) from my 1984 300CD and install them on a 1983 300D ? I assume the front end is all the same on these cars.

I’ll be looking at this car tomorrow and thought I would ask the pros!!

Thanks!

Looks just like mine! The white has grown on me over time. What color is the interior? Everything should interchange just fine. Someone chime in if I'm wrong. Just curious, what is the seller asking?

I'll agree with bgkast, many parts are interchangeable.
Certainly the parts you mention.
Anything past the A pillars, maybe. The dash, yes, very little else in the interior.

Thumbs up Wish me luck......

Great, I thought so. I was wondering because a week before my CD got hit I had installed new rotors, bearings, pads, fluid, lines and monovalve . I purchased a trans filter kit , PS kit but didn't have time to install them.

Instead of putting them up for sale I might get lucky and use them after all!!

The seller is asking $1500

I hope the engine is not in bad condition and the rust is not that bad.

Thanks guys,

The transmission stuff should work, P/S too.
