Question about ALDA adjustment (picture attached)

Question about ALDA adjustment (picture attached)

Does the object that the screw driver is pointing to have to be removed in order to adjust the ALDA? I have read that some items must be removed to get to the adjustment screw and have determined that this is it. Could someone please confirm?
