1983 300TD.

I'm trying to fix the window on the front passenger door. I have the door panel removed, except I cant slip it over the door lock. Do I need to removed the knob, or the grommet below the knob at the base?

When you get ready to replace the door panel, do not forget to pull the lock up and thread it through the hole before dropping the panel back in the frame; otherwise it is tough to get the pull screwed back on.
