Bosio vs Monark

I know this has been a very common post but i am getting ready to buy/install new injector nozzles. my 617 has 325,000 on the clock and is seriously overdo because i am getting terrible mileage/performance and very loud knocking at idle. I have done quite a bit of research on both nozzles and can't find any information regarding which one would better increase the mileage and performance. mileage is the most important factor for me. thanks...

People who have bought the Bosio Spary Nozzles often claim better seat of the pants performance; but with slightly increased noise at idle (though some say the noise decreases after a few K miles).

I have Monarks in mine and they helped to smooth out the idle and the car seems slightly peppier. Also they seem quieter. They also cost about 1/3 less than the Bosio Nozzles. (Contact C Sean Watts if interested in a price on them.)

I have not read any Posts or Threads comparing mileage between Bosio and Monark nozzles.

I would guess that since either one would be new nozzles that both would atomize the fuel well (assuming the opening/pop pressures were set within spec) and that they would both get similar mileage in the same engine.

I chose the Monarks as they are good quality German made and inexpensive. Also my thinking is that an engine with over 325,000 might not get the same amount of seat of the pants performance from the Bosios to be worth the extra expense.

I think that if your Injectors are worn out either Nozzle should help but as other Members have said the overall condition of your engine and how you drive the car greatly effect the mileage.

I installed monarks, I averaged 24 mpg delivering pizza and 29 mpg when I wasn't. Adjust your valves and when you do so check the next largest feeler blade to ensure your not allowing too much clearance. My sd had a knocking until I found my mistake of allowing to much clearance. Your alignment may also be causing bad milage, as well as filters and such.

I have the bosio in my TDI 1.9 DI they're like 2 sizes too big but it runs great i opted for the monarch on my benz they're cheaper and liked the bio fuel approval i think they're at least as good as the bosio's i'd kinda say they're better each would be better than 100K or 200K - 300K worn out injectors..
