I think it's a waste of time and money.

Injectors are replaced what, once during the live of the vehicle?
It would be a lot cheaper to just replace them afte 250,000 miles or so.

Injectors are regular wear items, 100k miles.

This topic has been mentioned before but no one has taken up on it. I think its improvement on a IDI at 135BAR would be minimal.

Agreed the pressure/force wouldn't really gain much now if it was say 2000 or 3000 bar like on newer di u'd see alot more value for this.

You'll go blind.

I'm planning to do this when my diesel budget recovers. They say that some power gains are likely on IDI engines, but most of their experience is on DI engines.

We need to try something. There is some power to be gained in the injection system without moving to larger plungers.

I'm usually eager to jump on things like this but I'll let somebody else go first on this one. I don't have the money to invest into it.
