vacuum line on turbocharger
This is for 1985 300D Turbo California model.
There is a vacuum line on the turbocharger, should I take it out and plugged it. The vacuum line on EGR is out and plugged. Thank you |

Do you mean the line from the compressor outlet to the wastegate actuator? That line signals the wastegate to open at a set pressure. Removing that line could result in more manifold pressure than your engine can safely handle.
Hopefully you mean the vacuum line to the air recirculation valve (ARV). Once you confirm it's not the wastegate acutator line, go ahead and plug both ends of that line. Sixto 87 300D |

Right, the small (about 3mm) line is the vacuum line for the ARV and the big hose (10mm) is for the wastegate.

Please see attached photo.
I mean the vacuum line at the bottom right side of the photo. Is that ARV? If so, I can plug that vacuum line? Thanks. |

The hose that disappears to the bottom is the ARV line. Cap away.
