W124 Vacuum diagrams
Hi all,
Inspired by this forum, I bought myself a Mityvac to try and troubleshoot my shifting issues. Before I dive in, though, I was hoping someone had a link to W124 vacuum diagrams. I've seen a lot of W123 diagrams on the forum, but can't find any links to W124 diagrams. I've got a 1987 300TD wagon (the "wagon" part is maybe redundant?) with 185,000 miles. It has a nasty clunk shifting 2-3 and another nasty clunk on the 2-1 downshift as I come to a stop. Both get better as the car gets warmer, and the 2-3 shift is firm, no clunk, if I step on the gas. Thanks for any info! Tim

Here it is:
![]() Thanks for confirming that your 'TD' is indeed a wagon; many people put 'TD' when they mean 'DT.' Jeremy

Thanks
Thanks a lot, Jeremy. This is very helpful.
I can't quite make out some of the descriptions on the individual lines, especially those leaving the vacuum amplifier. If you can read them, might you post them? Tim
