Fuel Line Leak Question

I am still pretty new to the world of Mercedes diesels so this might be something simple, but I don't know. Anyway, I looked this morning and it appears that I have a fuel leak right where the fuel line connect to the top of the engine. It is the fuel line closest to the firewall. I am going to try and attach a photo so you can see what I am talking about.

Thanks in advance.
Randy

Check the 1" cloth braided return line and it "plug" closest to the firewall on that inj and see if it is leaking.

Cant see it in the photo.

I looks like the injector return line is leaking at the injector. The rubber lines with the braided cloth on then get brittle with age and start leaking. Probably time to replace all of them.

Injector Return Lines

You can get the stock lines right here from Fastlane. Click on the Buy Parts button on the top of the page and go from there. Great guys, fast shipping, plus they run this site.

If you want viton lines, I sell them at http://www.fryerpower.com/store/page14.html. Fastlane does not sell viton, so I do.

For a temporary fix you can use 3/16 thin vacuum hose. However, this fix may last only a week or so as the diesel fuel and the heat eat the hose up.
The brightly colored silicone vacuum hose also works and will last years but the diesel fuel makes it hard as a rock.
To make a plug take a short piece of hose and a small fine threaded screw coated with silicone sealant and insert the screw into the hose to block one end and slide the other end over one of the small Injector Nipples.
