My New Toys- AC stuff
A/C recovery and charger for $95 total. The best part is it has R12 in it! The freon alone is probably worth more than $95.
I don't know exactly how much I got. There is a 30lbs tank that seems pretty empty (attached to the charger). I don't know if any is left in it. Then there is the recovery tank (in the recovery system machine). I know there is a fair amount in there. I'm not sure how much because I don't know what an empty recovery tank weighs. I know the recovery tank itself weighs more than just the 30lbs fill tanks themselves. I haven't put it on a scale yet, but I'm guessing it weighs around 20-30 lbs total?? It is hard to judge. Maybe more, it is a bit awkward to pick up and get a good feel for. I picked it up a swished it around and it felt like it was maybe a bit less than half full. I'll put it on a scale sometime in the next few days. Anyone know how much an empty tank weighs (recovery tank that is)? Sorry about the quality of the pics. I picked them up last night and just stuffed them in the garage this morning and took quick pics with my phone. I've been looking for one for awhile but everyone selling them so far has wanted way too much and most of them did not come with a tank. This one came with a tank and it has some freon in it! I'm pretty excited because I just accidentally dumped my R12 when I replace my engine by poking a hole in my condenser (parallel flow style) when I was pulling the engine out. So I'm going to get a new condenser and fill 'er up! No rush though. Don't think I'll need the AC in -20F weather!
