Turn signal relay?

Is the hazard and turn signal together like on vw's ? and if so where is it located my turn signal is iffy at best works sometimes sometimes it doesnt? looked under the kickpanel on drivers side no luck sounds like it's somewhere in dash but can't locate ideas?

In the console, forward and on the left side of the gearshift selector.

turn signal iffyness can also be caused by bad fuse and by the emergency flasher switch, both happened to me. I took the e-flasher switch apart and cleaned it and then cleaned the fuse ends and it solved the problem for me

remove the ashtray and the metal frame that's held in by two large screws...you'll see the cube shaped relay (similar to your VWs).

correct me if im wrong but the relay is the switch itself, right? I know mine is but I have a different switch.

nope, there are two relays under the shifter covre, one for turn signals and one for e-flasher

must have changed that in 1982 too. I have the big hazard switch that has a built in relay.

took mine apart sprayed with contact cleaner works now too bad i ordered one 3 days ago amazing 25 yrs and it still works!
