It's back, ... the $28,000 300TD

Although there has been speculation about possible shill bidding last time, and observations about condition etc., he's back with a couple of low and zero-feedback bidders bidding it up:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-300-Series-DIESEL-300CD-TURBODIESEL-77K-ORIGINAL-MILES-PRISTINE-CONDITION_W0QQitemZ120332144409QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item120332144409&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318

A 300CD this time.

wasn't the seller recently posting here as well; with issues on more modern vehicles?

I don't know.

I would think (hope) that anyone posting here would know better than to sell a nice CD with green coolant and coffee in the brake-fluid reservoir, ...

And to continue picking (we do that here, right?), the pinkamino front seats and cracking dash don't exactly scream "garaged all its life" like the ad claims.

But in all, if it is as nice up close as it is on the internet (there's a needle in a haystack), it is a coupe I'd really enjoy finishing and driving.

*sniff sniff*
I smell odometer fraud. Whats up with all those knicks on the back seat? Also the piles of leaves under the hood also lend me to think that it hasn't always been garaged and pampered. How come theres no picture of the trunk?

People who normaly charge this much for this type of car post hundreds of pictures.

Why is the passenger window switch the only one that looks abused? How bout the cracked dew wipe, generic battery.. Yeah, pampered all right.

Cracked dash, faded carpet, faded inst cluster needles...yeah it was garaged alright, about twice a year.

What was it pampered with? Generic Wal-Mart shelf items?

The location of the photos looks familiar to me. I think he was selling a low mileage brown W116 last year about this time.

actually those are the better times of the day to shoot cars... Early morning or late afternoon work best.

It appears that he simply tried to shoot without a flash (good thing), at low-light (good thing), with a camera that needed more light and did it hand-held. With a good tripod and remote trigger (or timer) he would likely have been fine.

nope, pretty much its a known fact. Try and shoot a car at 12:00 PM.. waaaaay to bright

plus point and shoot cameras, (not a DSLR/SLR) suck for everything other than candid shots and general use

exhaust will rust from nonuse, but usually not in a garage. I dont believe the garage story at all. too much sun damage in the interior and dash I wish my paint chrome and interior were that nice though. but for the difference in price I hope to have mine better.

that motor is way to dirty for 77K. Also shouldn't that motor have a plastic oil cap on it, yes it should.

faded front seats
Climate control wood is falling off
faded door hanles
looks like something has been laying on the console for 20 years(pic 30)
