I May Have Fixed My Hammering Problem on Accident

For a while I have had a pretty not good hammering sound from my engine before it gets to operating temperature, when the engine was just off idle. I figured the problem was injector related and wanted to see if I could figure out which one was causing the problem. I started cracking the fuel lines and when I was on number five the noise went away. I tightened the line back up on the injector and now my hammering sound is gone. I am not for sure, but I feel like maybe the return nipples on the injector body were roughly parallel to the block and now the injector is turned slightly out of line with the block. I am wondering if maybe the injector or injector line was just a little too loose and I had an air leak causing my problem. What do you think?
