Thumbs up A Store called "Stupid Prices"

here in Seattle has 6 quart cases of Mobil 1 synthetic 5/40 Turbo Diesel Truck motor oil for $22.49 out the door. It's on Bothell way right next to Kenmore Lanes.

Same case was $36-38 at Costco last time I was there.

DUDE! If that store is close by you, could you pick me up 3 cases? I live down in Kent and work in Seattle (SODO). Maybe we could meet up somewhere in Seattle during the week?

Thumbs up You bet RCounts!

You need to keep that new/used engine well lubed.

By the way, they are open unitl 9:00 pm if that helps you.

I'll try to get there tonight but if not, sometime this weekend. I work in Bellevue so I can shoot I-90 to SODO pretty easily.

I have a great pic of our kids in the 3rd seat from the GTG. I'll try to remember to bring that on a disk.

You're going to owe for this one...perhaps you can help with power steering and disk brakes for my M38A-1.

We have a Stupid Prices here in Tacoma, Washington! I have never been in one before, but I think I will stop by since I am near due for an oil change and like to stick with synthetic fluids. Thanks for the tip!

For those unfamiliar with Stupid Prices, they buy up all the open package and returned stuff from Costco (maybe Sam's Club too). They also buy the "last of the lot" stuff - like when there are only a few sizes left from a whole shipment of shoes or shirts or whatever. They then resell the stuff in their no-frills (think GoodWill style decor) stores.

That means that the inventory in each store is unique, and just because one store has 6 cases of this oil, doesn't mean that other stores will have any at all. They may, if it has been discontinued or something, but I wouldn't count on it. It is more than likely a return - like someone with a business bought 10 cases for their service fleet and discovered that their older trucks leaked worse with the synthetic than they did with regular oil (a common problem) and so they returned the rest of it.

Not saying it isn't worth checking, just saying I'd call before driving down there if this oil is the thing you're after...

Sounds like the Big Lot stores we have down here in Florida, an ever changing product line. Some good stuff occasionally.

Speaking about Costco, they have a coupon for 15 dollars off a case of 6 gallons Delo 400 LE 15w40 limit 5. I think they locally price their stuff because I someone posted that they purchased it for $45 after coupon. I could only get them for $52 after coupon. I believe it ends tomorrow.

Yes!!! They had some! I went to the Stupid Prices in Spanaway today and they had an endcap full of the stuff. I bought 3 cases and they rang up as $20 each INCLUDING tax ($60 for 3 cases). I am so happy.
