I bought a set of front end suspension parts from that seller for my 123 from an Ebay seller and the paper work had the Groton company on it when I got it. They were all made by Euro and none of the parts had the country where they were made marked on them. At the Euro website they say they have factories in many countries.
The aftermarket parts do not bother me as the origional cost of my car was not much and I do not see the value in buying the top grade parts. My Radiator Hoses, motor mounts and trans mount are also Euro. After recicving the suspension parts I went back to one of the other online sellers that I buy from and added up what it would have cost me if I had bought from them and there was not much differance maybe $30. For the extra $30 I could have got Meyle or Febi made parts. I have not read anything bad concerning Groton however you can type his Ebay seller name into this site and check his feed back. This site shows more of the (-) feed back than is seen if you check via Ebay. http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs

Avoid. Identify what needs to be replaced and shop around for good OEM replacement parts. You can get the parts you need for about the same price. For instance, I didn't need tie rods or rear end stuff (kit comes with rear trailing arm bushings and sway bar links) but I did need the LCA strut bearing (mounts on firewall). They also didn't provide the strut to LCA end bushing which is a $5 part but requires the springs to come out to do it.
I put this in 1.5 years ago. Mind you I am a harsh driver but... Left ball join boot is torn and UCA bushings are shot. The LCA bearing is starting to crack. The rubber is of low quality, other than that it has not been a problem.

Don, I've purchased non-OE brake pads from them a few times. Always had good service.
If you have to have OE, which is cool, these guys may not be the best resource. WTS, there are plenty of other vendors.... |

Always check with your preferred reputable supplier(s) before buying new things off ebay. Then make an informed if you want OEM/MB original, or just a nice cheap clone.
Even the obscure things, like a 3.5 ring gear up there a few weeks back. -CTH |

Other Parts House
Bought OVP relay (specified K.A.E. brand)...
"Uro" (Cheap,Unmarked,Chinese Knockoff) branded arrived... ReCalled...Supplier issued call tag for "Uro" equipment AND shipped K.A.E. relay. If you order...specifically request name brand from them(BY NAME). Otherwise you'll get URO parts. Plus ,How hard is it for me to change out the OVP ? (Two Minutes) I now know the upper limits of their quality merchandise (AND the Lower) I can't walk on Water...So I generally get what I pay for.

They do have a fantastic reputation from a sales standpoint. I just question the quality of certain parts. I am fairly certain the companies they sell parts for are located in China etc, but are using old equipment from the OEM's. So the fabrication quality is the same but the quality of the materials used............

Good company, bad parts
I have bought from them a few times...very responsive, quick delivery, etc. No problems whatsoever, from a service standpoint. But the parts are not good:
I bought two ball joints for my wife's volvo 850 wagon, and less than one year later, one of them was ng and needed to be replaced I bought two tie rods for my 84 mercedes 123 wagon, and within two weeks of install, all four of the rubber boots were torn completely through all around. I have learned my lesson.....buy oe parts....lemforder, meyle, etc. I installed a set of motor mounts from an ebay site (it may have been FCP Groton, but I don't recall) and installed 18 months ago, and I just looked at them the other day when replacing the alternator, and the shield at the top is just about touching the bottom cup of the mount...the rubber portion is about completely collapsed...I will put in new lemforders this next spring. Mark

I drove Volvo's for years and I can personally vouch for the parts and the service. BUT, only for a Volvo 850 or V/S 70. I have bought lots of parts from tune up stuff, to control arms and timing belts. No problems to speak of with any of them.
Just like the MB.... You need to know what you are buying and what to stay away from. IE: on the Volvo you would ALWAYS want to buy the "Volvo" control arms and not the aftermarket, or you would be changing them again in 20,000 miles. Their service is just like what you get here. If you call them... They will help you find what you need. Not quite as personal as Fastlane, but pretty damn close. Personally if I were buying things for the MB, I would buy them here or get advice from the forum on where to buy them.
