Alien Parts Supplier CAUTION

The parts supplier whose name kinda sounds like AutoBahn (But,Means "House")
is/will be the subject of an intense sales effort by "URO" parts
(Communist Chinese Knockoff)

SO be Wery,Wery careful rabbit, if you order from the Teutonic Abode Vehicle
Parts Supplier.
OR you might end up with non-Mercedes parts hand crafted by 8-13 year old
Chinese Slave Laborers.

EDIT:My problem with the online retailer located @ 734 Poquonnock Rd Groton, CT 06340
IS their website picture is of a K.A.E. branded OVP relay,ONLY they shipped URO.
To their credit, they corrected their "miss-shipment"almost instantly.

I have no problem with URO They ,basically, tell you what you're purchasing.

However, second and/or thirdhand tier purveyors of URO's commodities may not be so
forthcoming.(AND everyone SHOULD NOT have to experience the "Lump of Coal" effect of
opening a box ,THAT you expected to contain "Goodies",only it's full of "Dross".)

You still have some freedom of choice as they offer several makes of the same parts and give the makers name.
I have Euro Radiator Hoses, Engine Mounts, Transmission Mount, and complete Front Suspension Kit of parts on my car.
All changed within the last year so it is too soon to tell the extent of their inferiority.

I got a uro window seal and radiator hose and were quite pleased with them. The wiindshield seal even had "molded corners" which I am told other aftermarket brands do not have.

My Uro windshield seal didn't fit, and the glass guy said the corner molds were in the wrong place. Guess you got the good one.

Bosch Receiver/Driers are now "Made in China" they work though, for the time being. Was none too pleased to receive a part made in china but I needed to use it that week.

I got a few uro parts from them. They seem to be OK though. Theres no obvious defect or anything like id expect from chinese crap..

Thats one thing I like about fastlane though, you get more brand options and there all decent manufactures.

I've bought a few "Uro" hoses from them, and they said Made in Italy.....so....

I've ended up with some Febi Motor mounts made in CHINA though. I think I'm going to be getting more and more of my stuff from the dealer/fastlane....I don't want cheapo parts. We just went through a Malaysian and USA re-man'd starter on the 300D, both junk. Got a german one from fastlane, its the best starter ever!

The dealer motor mount I got from the dealer was made in Turkey. Dunno if that's good or bad ... no problems so far

I have a Uro expansion tank in the SEC, works well so far. I don't remember whose engine mounts I got from them were, but they couldn't handle the weight of the engine in the SD, almost allowing the power steering belt to cut through the new oil cooler lines! We replaced them with used ones from one of the parts cars here and the engine now sits up where it should.

I ordered parts for my Datsun PU (In sig) All Parts Express from Phill. Just rebuilt the front end.

The brake rotors are from China. They look good. think the name on the box was OP parts.

the way it is going, we won`t have much of a choice.

I have bought a few URO parts and had no complaints.

OPParts Rotors I've tried too and they seem to be ok. Made to TUV specs.

I'm surprised that there's enough demand for w123 parts that factories are starting to churn them out in China. Maybe they have old MB casts and dies or copies of them. Of course, the profit margin is likely large enough even to make, of all things, old Mercedes parts in China.
