I'm afraid to have the tranny oil on my 83 300SD w/150k on it changed. Reason is my bosses tranny went right after it had the oil changed, and i've heard of other peoples doing the same thing. I found the "complete flush" thing at tire kingdom for 50bucks w/coupon, normally 100. I'm afraid theyll tell me that it has "sand" or a ton of grimy stuff in it and that it's shot. So if they change the tranny oil can anything bad happen. The tranny doesn't slip one bit right now and it shifts a little funny at times, kind of flaring, but i think it's just an adjustment. Any insight on this? i know changing is supposed to help it, but i'm afraid theyll tell me what i dont' want to hear. are these trannys supposed to go at 175k? thanks for your help and sorry for all the questions. OH one more question, on my dad's 97 528i how often if ever should tranny fluid be replaced? we want it to go till 300k miles w/out any major work. Thanks
