81 240D Door Handle Question - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I'm trying to figure this one out. If I lock the drivers door and then pull on the door handle the handle sticks open. The only why to get the door handle to go back in, is to unlock the door.

I was planing on taking the door apart soon, would like to know if I need a new door handle or could this be a spring inside..

I recalled that it was a little clip that slides back and the handle will come out towards you.

I have an extra set of black ones, brand new if you need some.

I wonder how hard is to install the lock into the door handle. Sounds like I will need to replace it.
