window regulator slide

How do I install this part?
http://catalog.peachparts.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=1981-Mercedes--benz-300sd-Body--Mechanical--Trim&yearid=1981%40%401981&makeid=63%40%40MERCEDES%2DBENZ%40%4063%40%40MERCEDES%2DBENZ%40%40X&modelid=6205%3AMBC%7C1510%3AED%7C10000134%40%40300SD&catid=241766%40%40Body+Mechanical+%26+Trim&subcatid=242923@@Window+Regulator+Roller&mode=PA

It is missing so the regulator is not attached to the window.
I do not see any way to attatch it to the arm.

There's a track along the bottom of the regulator along which the white plastic thing slides. Perfect application for that extra sunroof gleisspaste or whatever it's called you have lying around. The metal pin goes through the hole in the holder along the bottom of the glass. Put the pin through the hole and peen (aka. mushroom) the exposed tip. You should do the peening off the car against a good anvil. Set the opposite end of the pin directly on something metal. If you peen the pin against the plastic, it will cost you $4.95 plus shipping.

The plastic piece might be lying at the bottom of the door. If so, some folks have repaired the slider by using a bolt with a nylon nut and/or jam nuts and/or lots of Loctite. I'd leave the nut and bolt a little loose so the bolt doesn't twist and wear out the plastic. I'm just thinking out loud, I've never tried the bolt fix.

There is quite a bit of good info and instructions about how to replace the sliding jaw. For example you have to remove the regulator from the door first. Search the forum for sliding jaw or regulator repair or the like. The trickiest part is peening the rivet without slipping and breaking the new sliding jaw.

This was the best one I could find since I also have to do this.

I't a lot clearer when you look at the new piece:
