1984 2.2 diesel .standard ,this box make it into any other MBs

The standard shifter for an 84 2.2 mb looks like it might be good on this used car Ive been looking to buy,but, Im curiuos on its rarity since the 2.2 is rare itself.Is getting parts for the box going to be a struggle? Clutch ,plate ,throw out bearing .Im looking to this car for ultra economy ,but dont want ultra cost in fixing it either.Anyone had any issues with this cars shifter? Any other mb models come with this same shifter box?
