Add Coolant temp gauge

My coolant temp gauge is acting erratically. I want to install a another gauge but don't know where the temp sender can be installed. 1989 190D OM602

Thanks

There are several plugs along the intake side of a 601 head. One it used by the temp gauge, one is used by the fuel thermostat if so equiped. It's only as difficult as accessing a plug.

You can try one of these if the upper radiator hose is long enough -

The OE looking one is out of an S13 240SX if I understand the article.
