oil filter canister o-rings
there are two little o-rings on the end of the rod coming out of the oil canister lid. they are different sizes, but whenever i see them for sale, they come as two of the same size. can you squeeze these both on?

The o-rings are both the same size.

that's weird. not home right now, but one definitely looked bigger than the other.

I was surprised also, but they are the same part number. The grooves are different sizes, the o-rings "should" be different sizes too. I guess MB consolidated to save a penny or two. Apparently stretching the small one over the larger section is "good enough" for the application.

Yes, a 6x10x2 and a 7x11x2, but I've been using the small ones for years.
