I need to find a place that sells individual components preferably in the Ft Worth area, but I'll go to Dallas if I need to. I need capacitors, and a few IC chips. Any place in particular I should go?

I hate ordering from places on line, because the processing and shipping usually costs many times more than the actual components that I get.

At least in the Boston area, if you need anything specific, you need to order online. Stores just cant compete. Even RadioShack barely carries discrete components.

www.mouser.com is where I order from for hobby stuff, it's cheapest for S+H.

www.digikey.com is where I order from for work as an EE when its not my dime. bigger selection of weirdo stuff.
