Unhappy W124 suspension squeaks (new!)

this was just aquired in the last.... 20 miles, and now... she's parked until I figure out what it is...

video is uploading right now... its rather hi-res... so its taking some time... I just wanted to get this up, asap...

its a squeak, only when turning, left or right, lane changes, 90 degree turns, you name it. and its increasingly louder with speed...

I'm unsure of suspension rubber being done, but the milage in my sig. is correct... am I looking @ some planned $$$ into rubber products, and not the ones that most kids my age look forward to doing? or is there some "fix it" lubricant that solves the problem for now... my car wasn't driven often in the last few years before my purchase.... I'm wondering if the last 8k i've put on it has loosened some things up..

Old trick. Squirt some brake fluid on the rubber pieces, one at a time, and go for a test drive. When the squeak stops you have found the problem. Keep the fluid off of painted items.
It will keep it quiet for a few weeks (maybe)

brake fluid, wouldn't that eat thru rubber just like it does paint?

and once i locate the misc. pieces of squeakage... are they for the most part a DIY?

I'm going to do some searching... but rubber involving steering scares me

Its hard to tell from the video, but it sounds like power steering pump noise rather than something rubbing.

I think I remember reading on this forum to use water .....start at the lower rubber bushings....squirt\spray water one rubber bushing at a time and go for a ride.

You want to start at the lowest one first....so the water won't drip onto a dry one and stop the wrong one from squeeking.

I agree, sounds like it could an empty power steering res. Mine groaned when it was low, although the groaning stopping once it warmed up.

If not, then I'd look into the steering components; steering box? Maybe ball joints? If it were in the rear suspension, I could be of more help.

I just don't think I could, or would pour brake fluid on something. I know the seals in calipers are exposed to brake fluid, but still, that stuff just seems to eat everything.
I think some type of light oil would be much better, maybe even baby oil.......
{after you check the fluid reservoir of course}

I'd use PB Blaster or AeroKroil. They both can be used to recondition rubber.

Sure sounds like tie rods to me, but I agree check the fluid first to rule that out...
