injector heat shields

My injectors have come back from Bryan Kast, yippee!
My question is, which side of the heat shield is up ie; faces the injector nozzle?
It has been long enough that I have forgotten.

the smoothest side goes down.

the ridge on the inner diameter must seal against your new nozzles.
