A/C O-Rings

I am ready to order a new receiver/drier for my 300SD and want to get new o-rings as well. Can anyone tell me are there o-rings other than the ones on the compressor?
Fastlane shows the compressor rings and a couple others but which do I need?

There are o-rings at every connection that I can think of.

You can get a great assortment from acsource.com for about $20 that will allow you to always have the needed o-rings on hand. The assortment also includes a bottle of Nylog which is the best o-ring assembly lubricant.

Be sure to get the right Nylog. Blue for R-134a and red for R-12

There is a universal nylog that comes in the o-ring kit. No need for refrigerant specific nylog.

Is there anything special about the O-rings? Can you use an assortment from Harbor Freight (I have a couple)? Can you just use a dab of vasoline for assembly?

Don't use generic o-rings which are designed for petroleum oils. Use BNR or HBNR only. HBNR are the green rings, which are good for 134a but work just fine for R12 too.

I've never heard of it, but I guess the blue is sort of "universal"

Great info on the Nylog. It looks like the difference is in which oil is used in the system not the refrigerant itself. The blue does seem to be more "universal". Now to order the parts.
Thanks for the help.
