O-rings? I'm not aware that there are any o-rings in the injectors.

Injectors
I don't know about the '80s, but in the late 70s, the injector bodies had a top and a bottom that screwed together. There was an O-Ring or compression gasket between them. Inside there was a high tension spring, and the needles. Did they change much in the 80s?

They certainly must have. The injector bodies on the 80's injectors were assembled together using threads that have an interference fit elimimating any need for a gasket or o-ring.

All the injectors that went into the om 61x engines were like you state. No o-rings. I think the later ones are the same. But I've never dealt with earlier injectors.
