Whats with this? How can anyone expect people to use bio fuel when it is that much more than regular diesel? It has been this way all summer. Another thing, why is the offroad bio so much more????

I wouldn't consider that price too bad. Around here, regular Diesel is 2.59 and B20 is more like 2.75...

BIO is impossible to find here in the California bay area, and i really mean impossible.

Same here in the Texas Panhandle.

I found one place that sells B20 derived from animal fat in Friona, TX.

That's it...and he says the last time he went to pick some up the place that makes it had shut down.

And....the B20 he was selling was cheaper than regular diesel.

Around here B20 is about 20 cents more a gallon than regular diesel, just like in your pic....and B100 is like $3.60 last time I checked, but that was like 2.5 years ago....

I've been getting normal diesel for around 2.57....

I read that in CA the bulk of the professionaly manufactured Bio Diesel is going to institutational customers like School Districts and Bus Lines and so forth.

Unfortunatly, this makes sense business wise. Better to sell a Tank Truck Full than to sell the same amount a 20 gallon Tank Full at a time.

The large bulk sales will put the Bio Diesel Industry on its feet. You will see locally when they are able to produce a surplus.

I paid $3.50 for B99 in Santa Cruz last month and when I filled with regular diesel on Sunday it was $2.84 (unleaded was $2.89) in Fresno. Cali is higher and it isn't the gas/diesel tax either!

i can get diesel for 2:95 a gallon. but that seems a little high unless they raised them in the last hour

regular is the same price.

There is a place called biodiesel oasis in Berkeley. That might be a little bit of a stretch from san carlos though.

Also, .20 more for bio would be a bargain here. Previously I have paid up to a dollar more. Here it is about .50 more.

I sure wish we had pumps like that here in Wisconsin!

In WBG I paid something like $3.85 a gallon for B100 at the farmer's co-op.
I usually buy a 1/2 tank and an extra 5 to 10 gallons in jugs to use as an additive. D2 has ranged from $2.59 to $2.75 over the past couple months with it back on down trend again. I filled up in Monmouth Co, NJ for $2.35 two weeks ago :D

I wish B100 would be more competitive with Dino juice. I think more people would support a bio fuel market if the prices were not over a dollar more a gallon... My guys USED to be around $2.70/gallon but jacked up the price to over $4.00 when gas prices shot up. And this is for locally made linseed oil based B100!

Diesel is running around 3$ a gallon in the NY area, and bio is almost impossible to find. I love running bio, I'd be happy to pay an extra 0.20$ a gallon for B100. Sounds good, runs good, smells better, and my cash is not going overseas.

Yeah, I thought the only difference of off-road diesel was that it wasn't taxed so it takes some financial pressure off farmers. And where is that picture? I can barely find any bio in Mass. Maybe bio isn't competitive because it doesn't run through the newer common rails as well? I think more than B5 voids warranty.

The picture is taken just outside of Salt Lake City Utah where i live. The regular offroad is a dollar less than regular diesel like you would expect. The bio off road is nearly 2 dollars more:confused:. There are two gas stations within a mile of each other that have pumps like this. Its starting to become more popular here in the summer. In the winter you can forget it.
