Glow Plug light?
My glow plug light is not coming on at all. Is this a bulb problem? Or is the lack of a light indicative of another problem.
The dome light dims and I can hear the relay click off after about 25 sec. But, no glow plug light?

Could be burned out or the connection is bad. How does the car start when cold? Assuming you're in Florida and right now it's probably very hot there so starting probably isn't an issue anyway.

It starts fine and idles smooth. I used to always wait about 5 seconds or so after the light went out anyway.
What are the other possibilities of a no light condition besides the bulb? Are you talking about the connection at the bulb or somewhere else? Thanks, AJ

I'd replace the little rice bulb and then go from there.

You know.... Its funny... I was going to replace all of those bulbs when I had the speedo out a few months ago. But, I figured "if it aint broke, dont fix it".
Oh well.... So, you think its the bulb huh?

It's probably the bulb. If one of the GP's were burned out it would miss for a few seconds after you started the car cold.
The GP light in my 300D didn't come on but the car started fine, replaced the bulb and all was well.

Thanks again for the help with this one. I just wanted to follow up in case someone else has a similar, easy to fix problem. It turned out to be pretty simple. I followed DG's tutorial on checking the GP's and found that #3 had too much resistance. #3 was around 11.5ohms and the rest were right around 1ohm.
I replaced the #3 plug and the light works again. It also seems to start a little quicker? But that could be my imagination.

Good job. Once you do glow plugs the first time, they become real easy to troubleshoot the next time around.
