Angry INSTALLED NEW BOSAL EXHAUST

Short time ago I installed a Bosal exhaust system. Seemed simple enough. Was very hard to get the hanger doughnuts on. Now, the pipe / center mufflers, vibrate against bottom of car. Any tricks on solving this problem?

There should be exhaust buffers to separate the system from the chassis: http://catalog.peachparts.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=&yearid=1984@@1984&makeid=63@@MERCEDES+BENZ@@X&modelid=6208%3AMBC%7C1510%3AED%7C10000134@@300SD&catid=241035@@Exhaust&subcatid=241104@@Exhaust+Buffer&applicationid=W0133-1643969&mode=PA

Using the dealer wire-reinforced rubber donuts will allow the system to hang a bit lower...as they are larger. That may help.

Finally got car up on a lift this week. Took off one of the strong rectangular donuts and replaced it with a weaker round one. It lowered the pipes enough that they don't hit floorpan. Now it's not like riding in a steel drum.

I ran into some of the same exhaust problems you have. I found out a "dangling exhaust" didn't work because the rubber donuts would wear and eventually it would break, usually while going down the highway. After replacing the rubber buffers and snugging the exhaust against them, I haven't had any problems for nearly three years. Previously, I was lucky for the hangers to last 3-4 months.
