New 1980 300SD with a few issues

Hello all,
I have gone and bought myself a Benz off of E-Bay no less. It is my first so I'm a newb. Didn't pay much so I bought a few issues with it I was hoping someone can help out with. First, The brake sensor warning light comes on and off for no reason. I have checked the brakes and all four have like new pads on them as previous owner informed me but the light is still there. Second, the turn signals don't work in the cool of the morning but start working when it warms up a little. I'm thinking a bad connection somewhere but would love to hear if there is a common problem I could check first. Third, Glow plug light blinks occasionally. The car had the plugs changed in 07 and has only had a couple of thousand miles since the install (265,000 miles total by the way) so I doubt it's the plugs. Your opinions?
Thanks in advance
Dan

Issues with turn signals are almost always caused by the hazzarrd light switch. Pop it out, lifts straight up, clean contacts and plug back in.

The brake sensor light flickering seems to be caused by trying to reuse the sensors with a new set of brake pads. Inspect the 4 sensors, 2 on each side in the front. replace if any look like they were reused.

W116 cars have finicky glow plug systems. try replacing the first glow plug from the front. if it still flashes after that, you may just have to live with it.

Walking isn't a lost art: one must, by some means, get to the garage.

the brake sensor light, may be frayed sensor cable grounding against the body of the car, or it could also be someone using semi metalic pads instead of ceramic ones... just a thought.
