Everything works

Although my car isn't given the best care, it looks pretty good and functions perfectly. When I'm describing it to people, I make a point of mentioning that every bulb, switch, window, and accessory works. It took some time and parts, but it's nice to be able to say that about a 25 year old car. The only thing that isn't "working" is the alarm, but I disconnected that myself because it was too sensitive.

So, I'm curious. How many other people can claim that everything on their car works as it should?

Every feature on my benz works perfectly, save the OEM cd changer which has a dead preamp on one channel. Mine is a "base model" though, so no SLS or ASD to work improperly.

Every feature on my TDI works perfectly too, for that matter. Including all the ones it didn't have from the factory (like the Monsoon audio, ASR, trip computer, power memory heated seats, remote window roll up / down...), save the passenger side memory mirror.

I like my toys... what can I say The OEM central locking works great in my ex 91 ECOdiesel too... even though it didn't have it from the factory

Everything on my 300SD works, except for the passenger seat switch, it is damaged, I'm replacing it tomorrow. (anal alert) I replaced the drivers switch yesterday....mine are the hardwired switches, so it takes about 2-3 hours of soldering to swap a switch.

Theoretically my A/C doesn't work, but I removed it, so it doesn't count.

Everything works perfect, even my add-on remote locking system.

My tach has been flaky now that it is so cold out, but I'll fix that tomorrow too.

Every single solitary piece of equipment on my 300E works perfectly. Including the A/C, smog pump system, and sunroof (both tilt and slide).

When I purchased the CD ('03) everything except the passenger side rear view powered mirror worked. Since then the A/C failed a couple of years ago and the door locks went last year.

Everything on the 300D works correctly. The cruise control on the 240D is a tad flaky, I need to replace the amp one of these days.

Ohhhh how I wish I could be proud and say that everything works!

My 300D is reliable but I need to do some more remedial work to the electrics after I have fixed a crankshaft front bearing leak on the engine, a faulty speedometer, and given my baby some new transmission oil and filters, and oh yes there are was also... (The list goes on - but every time I drive it I smile like no other driver in a modern rot box!)

Everything on my '80 300SD works properly....with the exception of the a/c which I am planning on a complete r&r this spring.

I had originally thought the cruise did not work, but the po had put the mounting bracket on upside down and the cable was not attached to the throttle assembly. I turned it around and hooked it up and it now works perfectly.

Mine's close but...not perfect. Everything that is necessary works!

Short list of what doesn't:
Air recirc (I'll probably go through and replace all the pods at once...)
Trip odometer (It clicks...stuck at 0 - everytime it clicks, the speedometer jumps)
Cracked outside temperature display (just need to put the new one in - thanks Jeremy!)
One rear window and the front passenger looks like it might be going (it 'pauses' before moving occasionally)
Sunroof (doesn't work from PO, haven't even tried it, maybe if I'm feeling like spending the money)
Drivers seat motor (front/vertical - sounds like the switch works, but, is stuck all the way up)
Cruise control

I think everything else works

I must say I am a stickler when it comes to these cars,Everything needs to work as they should,
Including the car alarm.Or I lay awake at night thinking of a solution.

I'm reading a lot of "everything works, except ..." answers.

Both of my 124s work, everything from the license-plate lights to the cruise-control, flawlessly. My former cars did too, there just isn't any other way. But then I don't have a W140, ...

Everything works very well on my car. Though, my driver side rear window is a bit slow at lower positions, but I can live with that.
