Proper vacuum on W123 brakes?
My brakes have been sucking lately, I think ever since I tried to cram too much in the trunk at a garage sale or curb shop. I think I messed up the connection to the vacuum reservoir under the parcel shelf.
I got about 7" Hg vacuum and poor assist, so pulled the lines to the SOV and far side of the firewall and plugged the T's, now I get 20" Hg or so when reving. Assist is good unless you deplete the lines by pumping, then it sucks. 1) What's spec. operating vacuum b) what's a good reference for the vacuum lines on the far side of the firewall? |
