On my 84 300D I replaced the Hard Plastic lines between the Spin-on Filter and the Lift Pump and also the Return Line from the Fuel Injection Pump to the Fuel Return Junction Block on top of the Filter with 1/4 inch ID Fuel Hose.
But, I do not know if the newer models followed suite.

The Cigar Hose and the Fuel Inlet hose can be replaced with 5/16 ID Hose on mine.

I've a sneaking suspicion the Lines are Metric.

So, if I use "D" 911's 1/4 inch that's about 6.35mm s
So, a "Tygothane" in 6mm s should be a perfect "Friction" fit on the Barbs!

This is true. Mine are the same. Though if you leave the hard line on the bard and cut if of right at the barb 5/16" will work. But 1/4" is the actual barb size.
