Can someone post a photo of the brown/purple line for me. I think I've got almost everything figured out.

I drew out diagrams that I think could be useful for people in the future. When I'm done with this work, I'll upload the diagrams and photos of my car for future reference.

Thanks,
David

Yea.... From your PM, sounds like you got it!! That is correct. The one going to the "shut off valve" on the back of the IP is the brown/purple. This line "comes from" the ignition switch. The solid brown comes from source vacuum and "goes to" the ignition switch.

The solid brown can go to source vacuum that is coming off the main line. One of the 3 or 4 way connectors off of the main line check valve.

EDIT: Here is a pic of where the brown/purple should be headed. Down below the VCV and hooked onto the shut off valve.

Or if you choose you can eliminate the emissions portion of the vacuum lines shown this diagram I marked in the red Xs to make a cleaner engine compartment. Leave the transmission stuff there to keep the factory shifting properties.

What do you do with the line coming from 80. Control Box to 81. switchover valve vacuum converter and from 80.Control Box to 84. Vacuum Converter? They both end in Plugs. Thanks.

Second, related question. There is what I assume to be a vent line with a see though filter coming from the cabin side of the firewall. Is it safe to disconnect this as well?
Thanks again.

It didn't have a see through filter from the factory, but I don't think it'll hurt.
See part #65 above and the vac line "a".

Thanks squishware, that is the largest diagram that I've found so far.

I found another thread that stated taping off the electrical lines would not hurt anything. I did as the schematic shows and put all of it in my trunk for spare lines/fittings. The filtered line was a vent it stopped just on the other end of the firewall.

.
I could use one of these diagrams for a 84 300SD if anyone has one.
