Which starter?

I'm shopping for a starter for my 83 300SD (no trap ox, California model). I've come across 2 different part numbers for Bosch remanufactured starters. Anyone know what the difference is? (aside from price and core charge...)

go back and delete the extra thread...

the first starter looks like an extra duty model. both will work for your car if that's the case. buy the one you want.

May I suggest something?

These things are designed to be easily rebuildable. I suggest you look into that first. Most likely, the springs and the brushes just need replacement.

There are tons of videos on Youtube as to how to do this. The problem you will have is buying the kit/parts for the rebuild.

Save your money and buy the MBShop members a keg.
