new toy
Just had to post this. I just picked up a '83 300D w/256k on the clock off of CL. I
 CL. Now I have a pair so the 85 won't get lonely.  I have a little work to do on it but runs strong. I found it about 20 minutes up the road from me. I guess I now have to read that tach problem thread.

For $850 I figured I would be ahead if the engine and trans worked well. The thing has better acceleration and shifting than my 85 so guess I won't part either of them out.
It starts a bit hard and wants to idle too low until it warms up. I do have to get all the drains working and seals fixed. It had a bit of water in the floor mats from all the rain we have been getting.
