oh, oh, oh. almost forgot, temp sender for dash reading, and the oil pressure. was a live oil feed to the cluster on the 76' and the 190E uses an electronic oil pressure gauge... any thoughts?

Take the oil sender off the 190E & use it. Placing the oil fed one in the cluster of the 190E is too hard. Same story for the temp sender.

I'll look to see if the fittings are the same size on them -- pretty sure the water temp sender got destroyed on the 2.3. do water temp senders all send out different signals? the one on the 616 right now is in good shape, I just dont know how it communicates with the 190E cluster

perfect. now I need to sift through the M102 harness and find the 2 or 3 wires I need

I am planning on using a beefy starter solenoid as my glow relay with an interior push button, any suggestions on make/model or new universal that would work the best for that?

You have the slow wire loop GP's. A solenoid of a very small ricer or a motor bike would be plenty big enough.

got the Oil Pressure sender and the water temp sender (just incase) off the M102

I think its the water temp sender anyway, single pole all metal sensor, wasn't damaged by my hasty pull

also pulled the Guibo since it was still in good shape and the starter motor since it still had the starter motor part of the harness on it (also has OP and one other connector not sure what its for, could be water temp)

I didnt have my camera and it was midnight when I started so bare with me and tomorrow I will come bearing fresh picture gifts

Anyone have a picture of a OM616 or 617 electric oil pressure sender?

The w126 uses the electric sender for the oil.

190 oil press sender

The 84 190e's use a mechanical oil pressure guage maybe your 85 does too, the guage cluster should fit. A Ford style starter relay will handle the GPs for around $20. Good luck Dan

same sender as the M102 in my 88' fitting is too small to fit into the 616's OP fitting

yeah, the 84 and 85 used the mechanical OP, I have an 88' car and want to adapt the electric OP sender from the M102 that I have here anyway

I'll get one of those ford relays, any specific model it came on to ask for when I go shopping?
