I think that wheel is a work of art - beautiful!

I think we get so used to looking at our cars every day that when you change something it looks out of place at first, no matter what. I think if you step back like you knew nothing about a w123 and put yours next to one with a factory wheel there's not any question which looks better. It's not like you put a candy color changing paint job on your car so, from me, your Nardi gets a resounding two thumbs up!

Also a big fan of the fire extinguisher btw.

I posted this in the parts thread a while back, but I have one on my '83 300D, and think it looks pretty nice. Combined with the zebrano shifter and custom gauges that the previous owner installed, it works well.

even looks pretty terrible in the 107 models. Looks like it belongs in a tiny little old italian car or something. Just has no class...
There will always be the purists out there.

Was there a better alternative for me in the SL? I couldn't have the steering wheel sitting in my lap.

Wow tough crowd here

After driving it for a day I really like it. It's easier for me to get in and out of the car, and I feel like I have more control over the car then I did with the big wheel.

Also I think it looks a lot better in person then in photos. Although i wish it was about an inch bigger so I could see the gauges. Ah well, keeps me on my toes and paying attention to oil pressure, fuel, etc.

Im not a purist at all. Its just my opinion that a skinny little italian wood wheel with chrome and a tiny button for a horn is ridiculous inside a 1980's world class teutonic luxury car.

Considering the modifications Ive made to my car I would say that Im definitely not a purist.

However it does fit the 107 considerablybetter than the other cars and I sure as hell didn't mind when I drove the car. I think it fits the design better on the 107 because the 107 is indeed a 60's car and thus the wheel is more period correct.
